I have a question about the data products available to members. Do any of them have the ability to create a user-defined geographic area (such as a polygon) and then save that defined area for later re-use?

Parelfact lets you SEE the outline and interact with it. You can save pictures, and it shows up in your history, but you can’t really give it a custom name or tag it or share it.

I use MapRight.com. It’s not a cheap tool, but it fits the bill for me. I have also had success saving shortcuts to some county GIS, but this approach is hit or miss.

MapRight looks interesting, I will check it out.
Actually I am looking for a way to use saved polyogons as part of my data search criteria. So far I have not found any product that will do this.

I use some of the layering functions as part of my due diligence to check lots for wetlands, flood plain, and terrain too.

Joe are you doing that when you’re researching a county, or when a signed offer comes back?
