Hey Jessica,
Interesting question. I have not done an entire scrubbed list. For Google Earth, you are talking about making a KLM file. Someone posted here a long time ago a took that helps generate these rules with Cartesian pairs (coordinates), but I don’t remember who.I want to follow this to see what solution others have presented.
If no one…[Read more]

Without looking at assessed values, when mailing an area with timber, pasture, SFR, residential, and mobile land uses, which of the first two do you price higher?
Timber? or Pasture?
Didn’t see this question already asked so if it’s been addressed, I’d love a link to the post.

I’m looking to team up with people to tap into those counties with near-inaccessible data that as a result, don’t often or ever get mailed.
If you’ve found a county which has quality data, but it’s just not easy to get into a succinct mailer format, I want to know. If the data is solid and online (for example, they have a GIS or tax record…[Read more]

Would love to see what parts of your business everyone is delegating to VAs. I’ve been at this for a while and have not yet paid a VA because I try to automate everything first, but that’s not to say there have not been plenty of times where I’ve wished I had a VA doing something for me.

Travis K replied to the topic Sharing an excel VBA Macro to remove duplicates in the forum **Pro-Only Members – Ask A Question** 6 months, 3 weeks ago
I confess I did not know that existed Michael. And the script could be used for both names and addresses.
Either way, if anyone’s looking for a macro to do anything in excel, reach out because I’m an investor who has to scrub my data just like the rest of you and always looking for ways to make it more efficient and easier.

I’m linking to an excel macro I wrote for removing duplicate owner names from your raw data. It doesn’t matter what the source (Datatree, titlepro, RQP…) is and you can use this to remove duplicates from any column. BUT BE WARNED***If there are empty cells in the column you are removing duplicates from, those corresponding rows will be deleted.…[Read more]

Travis K replied to the topic Share your favorite EXCEL Macros, hacks, shortcuts! in the forum **Pro-Only Members – Ask A Question** 7 months, 3 weeks ago
My biggest hack is to use Google Sheets instead of Excel 😄.
In all seriousness though, one of the best things you can probably do is learn keyboard shortcuts. It will save you tons and tons of time. I can usually scrub a list pretty quickly manually because I have the keyboard shortcuts and a few functions memorized. I find if else statements to…[Read more]
