For rural land, is it better to go to an area with really high sales and competition or something with less sales and competition? In other words, try to fight to buy land (high competition) or fight to sell land (low competition). Both counties have low population, but one is growing more quickly than the other.

I can’t base my answer on experience but I would go with “fight to buy”. The Land Academy strategy gives you an advantage buying and selling in both scenarios. However I think it’s a bigger advantage on the buy side in Scenario 1 because it’s a bigger win – buying a discounted property in a hotter market. After that you don’t have to fight to sell, it sells easily because of the market. Just my $0.02.
