    Hi everyone,

I recently acquired a number of notes and to make a long story short, I would like to transfer them to another LLC I am joining so I can dissolve the one that contains the notes and make sure the note payments are put towards my new partnership.

The notes do have an assignment clause but they weren’t recorded at the county. Would I just need create some kind of signed document conveying interest in the note to the new LLC, deed the properties to my new LLC, and then have the buyers transfer their payment info over?

My main concern is that I don’t want to confuse or concern my customers since they did originally sign the contract between me and my old LLC.

Does it make sense to keep a DBA of the old llc you can still deposit the funds in the bank with it if it’s papered up right. Last thing you want to do is mess with good note payers.

New LLC can buy the old co or select assets of the old co to leave old messes or future messes in the old co and move on.
